RECLAIM YOUR ADVENTUROUS NATURE

YOU'RE A BIOLOGICAL ORGANISM. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO ADAPT.

You love to explore. You love to be in the forest, in the water, in the mountains, on the rock face. But you're missing out on the experiences you value because of pain or injury.

It doesn't have to be this way.

Maybe you've seen other healthcare providers that gave you a generic list of exercises without any real plan. Maybe the interventions were never even challenging enough to help you achieve your goals.

If you're being held back by pain or injury and struggling to get back to the activities you love: climbing, surfing, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, weight-lifting...you name it.

I understand what you're going through and I want to help you.

THE APPROACH

01

Identify the limitations associated with your pain or injury

Our first step together is to thoroughly assess for any physical limitations with regard to your mobility, your respiratory variability and your capacity to manage force/stressors.

02

Assist you toward less pain

In many cases, physical therapy ONLY focuses on your symptoms. This approach lacks a comprehensive understanding of the complexity of the human system. It's important that we reduce your pain, to facilitate your function, but we won't stop there.

03

Address your individual limitations

It's critical that we address the objective limitations we find during the assessment so that we can be confident in your ability to handle the demands of your goals.

04

Maximize your physical capabilities

To reduce the risk of re-injury, you need to finish your rehab as a more robust organism than how you started. You will be challenged.

CHris Ricard, PT DPT

Some years ago, I came to a realization, that the only things I truly own are: my body, my mind and my health; time permitting. Dealing with countless injuries led me to recognize how much I truly value the ability to move, exercise and be in nature. My personal experience with chronic pain set me on a journey to evolve my approach to physical therapy beyond the industry standard, so that I can help others who feel limited, stuck, or hopeless because of their pain or injury.

Testimonials

"After a knee injury while skiing, I was unable to return to several activities that I enjoyed doing, including lifting weights and playing basketball.

The injury resulted in decreased strength and range of motion, which didn’t improve with time and made me think that I would never recover from it.

Fortunately, Chris was able to develop a rehab plan for me that strengthened the knee as well as the rest of my lower extremity. His approach of strengthening the body to recover from injury really appealed to me. I was honestly surprised when the pain started to subside and my strength + range of motion improved. I have been able to return to lifting weights and basketball (as well as skiing!) and still perform many of the exercises that Chris taught me in order to maintain strength and flexibility.

I’m extremely thankful that I had Chris as my PT and appreciate his passion for his work because it helped me return to the activities that I love to do."
